My Piper boho

Hi again!  I hope you all had a lovely summer and are settling into the fall rutine with work, school, homework and after school activities aaaand sewing of course!

I had great intensions of sewing new outfits for both my youngest for first day of school this year.  Well, that didn’t happen so the plan now are new outfits for picture day – which is actually coming up pretty soon.  Help!!  There is always another occasion if the first plan doesn’t work out, right?!  And if the second plan doesn’t work out either there is always Christmas, haha!

So my first sewing project after summer holiday was actually for ME!

This is the Piper Boho Tunic from Wardrobe by me.  It is actually one of the first patterns from Wardrobe by me but it was just updated to include a wider size range and more options.

The Piper is mostly for light weight woven fabrics.  I used this chambray linen/cotton blend fabric I bought from Imagine Gnats and its all sorts of awesome!  I see there is more in stock.  That might not be for long folks since I had to have a look in order to get the link, just saying!  Act quick!  And no, I have no affiliation with Imagine Gnats in case you were wondering,  I would love to though!

I gradet from size 36 chest to 40 hips and the fit is perfect.  I never would have thought a woven dress could be this comfortable.

I love the subtle details of the pattern; the outside facing around the neckline, the sleeve taps and the side slits for the dress version.  But there are other options as well like shoulder gathers, ties, shirring, bell sleeves with elastic hem, sleeveless, tunic length and blouse length with a curved hem.  So the possibilities are endless here!

The Piper works great in summer and with layers for the colder seasons which are coming way too soon if you ask me!  My shawl was knitted by my grandmother who sadly passed away a few years ago.  She was so talented, always crafting something and one of my biggest role models.  I will always miss her but I’m lucky I have so many things she made so I’m reminded of my grandparents every day.

Alright, enough of my rant!  Get your pattern now cause its on sale until September 10th and start sewing!!

(This post includes affiliated links, but my opinion is honest and my own)

I'm a mom to four fantastic kids, three boys and a girl. To teenagers and to toddlers so never a dull moment in our household :) We are from Iceland but have been living in Norway since 2001. I have a newfound passion for sewing. My hubby travels a lot for work and I needed something to do at night when the little ones are a sleep because suddenly my teenage boys would rather hang with their friends or play on their pc's than be with me - why is beyond my imagination :) Thanks to Pinterest I found some amazing sewing bloggers, whom I've been stalking, and realized that I could dig out my sewing machine and start sewing. Now it's all I think about. I've been hoarding pdf patterns and learning from all the amazing tutorials that are out there. I've decided to try out this blogging thing as well to document my sewing journey. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for stopping by, I would love it if you would leave me a comment! XOXO Dagbjört
