In my last post I hacked the Kamaria Sunsuit into a bikini and amazingly enough that inspired Mgeni the designer behind Sansahash to make a swimsuit pattern. But she didn’t just use the Kamaria as an inspiration but also the Lilah Top and Dress. So here is the L&K Swimsuit!
This is the “K” version with the high waisted bottoms and halter neck top. The top has that beautiful inverted pleat from the Kamaria and a slight v-neck. It has a low elastic back and ties.
I absolutely adore this classic look!
I have so many great photos from our photoshoot at Sola beach that I could make this a very long blog post. The beaches here in western Norway are so very beautiful and truly the perfect location for photoshoots!
Here is the “L” version, this one is more sporty looking with the regular bikini style bottoms and cool racerback top.
As you see you get two very different looks and Anita is very happy with her new 4 piece bikini, she can mix and match as she wants. It comes in sizes from 6 months to 12 years, I made her tops in size 6 width and 8 length and her bottoms in size 5 width and 8 length.
In case you are wondering the bikini style bottoms have great bum coverage even in action. The fabric I used is from Stoffdronning, a Norwegian based fabric store.
If you are on the fence about making swimwear you don’t have to be, it’s not hard at all and even if swim fabric is on the more expansive side compared to other fabrics these garments are so small that you don’t need that much. I made all these 4 pieces out of one meter and with some to spare that I used for something extra I’ll show you soon, probably just on Instagram.
The pattern is on sale for $5.50 until July 30th but f you join Sansahash Pattern Group on Facebook today there is a code there to get it even cheaper!
