Like I said a few blog posts ago Anita desperately needs new comfy casual knit dresses. Therefor the tester call for Sansahash new pattern, The Nilah dress, came at a perfect time.
The pattern has a fully lined bodiced, variety of sleeve lengths and a really cute high-low hem. It comes in sizes 6m to 12y.
To get the perfect fit for Anita I blended between a few sizes. Size 5 for the chest, size 4 for the waist and size 7 for the length. The pattern comes with great instructions for blending sizes if you also need to do that for the little one you are sewing for.
The fabric I used is from the 2017 collection from Elvelyckan, which I bought from a Norwegian store called Stoffbutikken. Great quality jersey fabric.
Here is a better view of the high-low hem, I just love that! And no she’s not sad, only bored that she had to turn sideways and stand still for half a second!

My hubby travels a lot for work and I needed something to do at night when the little ones are a sleep because suddenly my teenage boys would rather hang with their friends or play on their pc's than be with me - why is beyond my imagination :) Thanks to Pinterest I found some amazing sewing bloggers, whom I've been stalking, and realized that I could dig out my sewing machine and start sewing. Now it's all I think about. I've been hoarding pdf patterns and learning from all the amazing tutorials that are out there. I've decided to try out this blogging thing as well to document my sewing journey. We'll see how it goes!

Very cute dress. I love the fabric!
I’m looking for a nice pattern to make a nightgown and this would really fit the shape my daughter described. A fully lined bodice might be a bit much though.
