We’ve been dreading cleaning our closet for months, I thought I would just end up moving stuff from one place to another cause I would think I could make something else out of our old clothes. A week ago my husband and I dove in and we filled up 7 – yes 7 garbage bags of clothes that we delivered to goodwill. It felt soooo good! So now we actually have empty drawers and hangers!
And what does that mean? Well, of course I have to kick my sewing into high gear and fill up all that empty space — right? But don’t tell my hubby I said that!!
It was a good thing Christina at Wardrobe by me needed testers for her new pattern – The Sneha Tunic.
As is to be expected from Wardrobe by me, it’s a great and versatile tunic pattern. The pattern is designed with the option of symmetric or asymmetric hemline, lower body with dropping hemline or a lower body with less flare, 3 neckline options, fitted sleeve with 5 length options and tunic or dress lengths. Phew – that’s a lot of different styles you can make!
First I made the longer length with the dropping symmetrical hemline and the scoop neckline. I often blend to a bigger size at the hips but because of the flare in this pattern I just kept to a size 4 all over and the fit is great!
For this one I used light weight jersey bought from Stoff og Stil.
Since I had this great pattern and all that empty space in my closet I just had to make another one!
See totally different!
Here I did the shorter length and the less flared hemline but the same neckline. Also a size 4.
For this one I used quilted jersey also from Stoff og Stil. It is a much heavier fabric than the first one I made and it would probably not work so well with that option. But with this option it worked for me and I got a nice and warm sweater.
Both of these came together fast and easy. On the black one I just did rolled hem, so that one was really a fast sew. I see many more of these in my future!
I think you should hurry up and get this pattern while it’s still on sale for $7!!
