My Blixen!

I have a goody to share with you today!

As you know by now I’m a regular tester for Wardrobe by me and Christina keeps giving me new challenges and I’m always learning something new which I think is totally awesome!  I’ve made long and short pants, two coats, a bikini, a bomber jacket and a number of tops and dresses and now I’ll show you my newest make.

Let me introduce you to The Blixen Blazer!

This pattern is so great and I love my blazer so much!  The blazer is fully lined so the inside is just as pretty as the outside.  I didn’t find lining fabric with stretch for knit fabrics so I used regular polyester with no stretch.  It looks pretty but I miss the stretch function, so now I’ve ordered the right kind and I’m going to replace my lining even though it means using the dreaded seam ripper.  I just need this blazer to be PERFECT!

The Mira Dress Blog Tour

Man, was I stoked when Heidi asked if I wanted to join in on The Mira dress blog tour!  I had to read the email a few times to be sure I was understanding it correctly.  To answer no was not an option in my mind so here I am sharing my lovely Mira dress.  If you read or at least scroll to the end you’ll find a special coupon code to E & E Patterns

You win some – you loose some!

Have you ever had an idea in your head for the perfect garment and then it turnes out to be not so magnificent as you imagined?

No! Ok, I guess I’m the only one then!

It all started when I found this incredibly soft and beautiful blanket and in my head I saw it as an amazing oversized cardigan.

I started to look for pattern inspiration and suddenly I remember that Named clothing had the Esme Maxi Cardigan.  I bought the pattern and started the sewing process.

Before I continue I just want to say that I LOVE the pattern and I sincerely apologise to Named for doing this to their pattern!

More love for Asta

You might remember my The Asta Dresses I shared a few weeks ago.  I use my casual one all the time and now I’ve made two more or at least one more dress and one a little bit modified.  These are more aimed at the spring/sommer season.  I know I’m dreaming ahead but now with the days getting longer I just want more!

My groovy girl.

The Groove Dress from Madeit patterns is such a satisfying sew.  Only five pattern pieces; front, back, 2 sleeves and a neckband if you do the basic version and then you just run your fabric through the serger and zimzalabim you have a great flowy dress that your girl loves!

I love Asta!

Asta is my sister in law, she is one of my most favourite persons in the world. She is so funny, loving, always ready to help out, she loves to fool around with the kids and so much more.  It’s just a shame that we live so far apart that we can’t be together as much as we would like.

That is why it’s so fitting that my new favourite dress is also called Asta!
