For the first time my daughters outfit has me green with envy. She loves it too and has been wearing it for 3 days in a row now.Continue reading “Dandelion + Aspen = Love”
It was kind of scary seeing Anita in such a cool maxi dress. She suddenly looked so much older. I think she felt it too cause she turned the attitude way up. Needless to say she really loves her new dress.Continue reading “8 going on 18”

I’m so happy to be part of this blog tour celebrating Sofiona Designs one year anniversary! I was so eager to get on this tour I said I would make anything they needed, stay true to pattern or do a pattern hack. I must admit I had my fingers crossed for getting to stay true to pattern since I’m no designer. But no luck there – LOL! My assignment was to hack the Starry Night pj’s, hmm now how the heck am I supposed to do that? Haha! It took me a couple of months to come up with a plan and now I’m super excited to share what I came up with. Continue reading “Happy Anniversary Sofiona!”
This one has been hanging in my sewing room for a few weeks now, just waiting for time to take photos. Anita knows she can’t wear her new mommy made clothes before they are photographed so she has been patiently admiring her new Sanamu jumpsuit/romper or what you would call it. Finally the stars aligned and we could take those photos!
This all started with Anita outgrowing her old denim shorts and I had decided that I would sacrifice one of my favourite fabric from my stash to make her a new pair. I know, I really love her! I had The Imari Shorts from Sansahash all cut out and ready to go when the tester call for The Soray Top and Dress came. Perfect timing!
Anita was so happy with the new outfits I made her and on our way out to take photos she said it was so amazing that everything I make her fits perfectly. I couldn’t help not to laugh and told her about all the adjustments I do to make it so, usually grading each pattern between 3 and 4 sizes. I guess I’m spoiling her with custom made clothes, haha!
