First pattern test project of 2020 is done and it sure was a good one. The Sille blouse from Wardrobe by me.

Sille is so feminine and easy going with dolman sleeves and gathers both at the back and front neckline. The pattern includes both long and short sleeves and round or square collar.

I used lovely cotton lawn I bought from Miss Matatabi at the end of year sale, I guess it sold out but she has some amazing fabrics. I paired my Sille with my Hepburn pants and what a lovely combo. That reminded me that I really want to make a new pair of Hepburns, I have to try to fit in the time to make that happen. Here is more on my Hepburn pants.

Sille has a generous fit so I only graded from size 6 bust to 8 hips, not my usual 10. I used the squared collar for both my blouses.

This is the first one I made in testing. The collar and the gathers got a slight update for the final pattern. I feel so confident in Wardrobe by me patterns that I just dive right into my good fabric. Even if there are some revisions made for the final pattern the original is always perfectly wearable. The fabric is double gauze from Nani IRO and it’s a total dream to wear.

I have been hoarding this fabric forever and I only had enough for short sleeves. Now if spring could just hurry up and get here ASAP. I am as far from being a label snop as possible, but when it comes to good fabric specially Nani IRO I’m a total nerd. I just had to find a way to show it off in my blouse, so I used the salvage for the collar. It would have been lovely for the cuffs as well if I had enough fabric for long sleeves.

I’m so happy with my two new additions to the blouse selection in my wardrobe. Thank you Wardrobe by me!
