Bonfire time!

Fall is coming and no matter how hard I wish for the summer to continue, I guess its time to accept the inevitable and make the kids some warmer clothes!  First up is Anita in her brand new and awesome Bonfire Hoodie!

The Bonfire Hoodie is a new pattern by Sofiona Designs.  The pattern comes in sizes from  2 to 16 and offers a high-low hem, both a large  hood and a simple neckband, regular cuffs and thumbhole cuffs and an optional hidden front pocket.

Since this is an oversized cozy look I made Anita a solid size 8 and its perfect!  I used sweatshirt fleece from Stoffbutikken.  I love the colour blocking possibilities the pattern offers.

How awesome are these cuffs!!

This was the first one I made during testing and the only change from the first draft to the final is the length of the sleeves.  We love this camo one too even though the sleeves are a bit long, makes it even more cozy!

I have a feeling these two will be in constant rotation this winter.  I might have to make some more and honestly I don’t mind that one bit.  The pattern is spot on and the instruction are great.

I'm a mom to four fantastic kids, three boys and a girl. To teenagers and to toddlers so never a dull moment in our household :) We are from Iceland but have been living in Norway since 2001. I have a newfound passion for sewing. My hubby travels a lot for work and I needed something to do at night when the little ones are a sleep because suddenly my teenage boys would rather hang with their friends or play on their pc's than be with me - why is beyond my imagination :) Thanks to Pinterest I found some amazing sewing bloggers, whom I've been stalking, and realized that I could dig out my sewing machine and start sewing. Now it's all I think about. I've been hoarding pdf patterns and learning from all the amazing tutorials that are out there. I've decided to try out this blogging thing as well to document my sewing journey. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for stopping by, I would love it if you would leave me a comment! XOXO Dagbjört
