The amazing Roho!

When the testing call came from Coffee and Thread for the new Roho Blouse I didn’t hesitate for a second to join the fun!

I love how dramatic the sleeves are and the gathered front.

The Roho calls for light to mid-weight woven fabric.  It has raglan sleeves, hem and neck facings, three sleeve lengths and the front can be gathered with elastic or not gathered at all.  Its a rather fast and easy to sew.

Since this is a loose fit style I made size 6 without my usual adjustments for my hips.  I did however add 5 cm to the sleeves, that is another common adjustment I often make.

I had to make one with short sleeves cause I’m so ready for warmer weather.

The black one on top is from linen, this flowery one is I think cotton voile and then I made one more with long sleeves from shirting fabric.

The shirting fabric is a little stiff so the sleeves become even more dramatic.  All fabrics are bought from Imagine Gnats at some time.  The linen one is my favourite, it’s so comfortable to wear.

I’m going hunting for more perfect fabric for more Roho’s and just a heads up, the pattern is on sale until February 17th!

I'm a mom to four fantastic kids, three boys and a girl. To teenagers and to toddlers so never a dull moment in our household :) We are from Iceland but have been living in Norway since 2001. I have a newfound passion for sewing. My hubby travels a lot for work and I needed something to do at night when the little ones are a sleep because suddenly my teenage boys would rather hang with their friends or play on their pc's than be with me - why is beyond my imagination :) Thanks to Pinterest I found some amazing sewing bloggers, whom I've been stalking, and realized that I could dig out my sewing machine and start sewing. Now it's all I think about. I've been hoarding pdf patterns and learning from all the amazing tutorials that are out there. I've decided to try out this blogging thing as well to document my sewing journey. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for stopping by, I would love it if you would leave me a comment! XOXO Dagbjört
