Can’t belief its February already, oh and Happy New Year to all of you!
I have been busy sewing the past weeks and now its time to start showing off what I’ve been doing. First in line is my lovely Grace the newest pattern from one of my favourite designers Wardrobe by me
Grace is a pattern for a light weight woven fabric with a nice drape and includes so many options. You get different skirts and lengths, sleeves with cuffs or a ruffle or sleeveless and different necklines. The pattern comes in sizes 0 – 24. All in all you can make 18 different garments from this one pattern! That’s impressive in my book.
As you can see I used the collar neckline and the cuffs. I find it so rewarding when sewing cuffs and they come out perfect, I hold my breath through the whole process and then just sit and admire my work when its done. Probably sounds dumb but so what.
The back is lovely as well, with the yoke and the gathers. I made size 6 according to my bust measurement, usually I would grade out to 10 for the hips, but Grace has a very relaxed fit so for this pattern there was no need for that. I can’t for the life of me remember where I bought this fabric, which is such a shame because I would love to get some more! I think its rayon, it has a lovely drape and I just love those stripes.
I can’t wait for spring, this is going to be the perfect dress when it begins to warm up a bit and the sleeveless version will be great for summer. Got to start stocking up on all the light weight fabrics – haha!
Have you made a Grace yet?
Love
Dagbjört
