It usually takes me a long time to adapt to new trends, because I get so stuck in what I’m used to. Being a pattern tester for Wardrobe by me pushes me to evolve and try new styles and I love that! Now I have been stuck in skinny jeans since about two years after they became popular, haha. Its time to try to move on and I think the Hepburn Pants just might be the thing!!
The Hepburn Pants are high waisted with welt back pockets, side pockets, front fly and belt loops. In other words all the bells and whistles a good pair of pants needs. There are two leg sweep options, mine are the narrower kind as I’m easing myself out of my comfort zone, haha.
For size I did waist 38 and hips 42. These pants are so comfy its unbelievable! Right before the tester call came I had made myself a new Savannah shirt, so I had the perfect top piece for photos. I love the casualness of the Savannah with the rip collar and cuffs.
The Hepburn pattern calls for bottom weight fabric with stretch. I used a lovely stretch denim rayon blend from my go to online fabric store Imagine Gnats. I’m sorry to say that this fabric looks to be sold out. I also ordered some stretch twill and that one is so nice to the touch. I will for sure use it for a new pair of Hepburns. I’m almost sure that for the Savannah I used a cotton voile also from Imagine Gnats.
I did the topstitching in yellow and there is just something about holding your breath while topstitching in contrast colour and getting it perfect and straight, it’s so rewarding!
The pattern just released this week and is therefor still on sale so jump on over to Wardrobe by me and get yourself a copy!

This whole outfit is so cute Dagbjort! I have been sticking to skinny pants silhouettes for a while too, but have always been a fan of the wider leg pants.
