The Nina blouse.

I’m joining The Nina Blouse Tour today.

There are some awesome seamstresses on this tour and each creation is so delicate and beautiful!  We have Olga, the super talented designer behind Coffee + Thread, to thank for this great pattern.

This gives me such a summer vibe, I wish we could just be done with this cold winter weather already and move on!  Anita even said that this outfit would be perfect for school if only it was warmer outside.  I’m so tired of dressing myself and the kids in layers and layers of clothes!  In the meantime I guess I can look at her Nina blouse and dream.

I’m terrible at tying bows so that’s why she is wearing hers around her waist, haha.  Lets call it a personal style element.  There are options for long sleeves with elastic in the hem or regular cap sleeves or scalloped cap sleeves.  For the collar you can also choose a regular peter pan collar or a scalloped one.  The ties are optional and are only for size 4 and up.

The pin tucks at the shoulders are just soooo lovely!!!

I made Anita size 5 lengthened to size 7.  The amazingly lovely fabric I used is jardin de paris, rayon in mint by Rifle Paper Co for Cotton + Steel bought from Imagine Gnats.  It is so soft and perfect and the colors are so vivid and beautiful!  For the bow I used another amazing fabric Pocho – Rose Pompom by Nani Iro for Kokka, bought from Miss Matatabi.  And that folks, is how much I love my little princess!! Haha!

If you like what you are seeing on the tour and want to make a Nina Blouse for a little girl in your life you get 20% off with the NINAPATTERNTOUR code, good through 03/19, 11:59 pm Central (Chicago) time zone.  Actually that code gives you 2o% of your total purchase from Coffee + Thread so now is the time to get those patterns you have been eyeing.

I'm a mom to four fantastic kids, three boys and a girl. To teenagers and to toddlers so never a dull moment in our household :) We are from Iceland but have been living in Norway since 2001. I have a newfound passion for sewing. My hubby travels a lot for work and I needed something to do at night when the little ones are a sleep because suddenly my teenage boys would rather hang with their friends or play on their pc's than be with me - why is beyond my imagination :) Thanks to Pinterest I found some amazing sewing bloggers, whom I've been stalking, and realized that I could dig out my sewing machine and start sewing. Now it's all I think about. I've been hoarding pdf patterns and learning from all the amazing tutorials that are out there. I've decided to try out this blogging thing as well to document my sewing journey. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for stopping by, I would love it if you would leave me a comment! XOXO Dagbjört
