I received The Vesper Sweater by Bel’etoile for free – but hey so can you, cause its absolutely free both in English and Dutch.  You can make it as a sweater or a dress.  Anita is lacking in the sweater department so thats what I made her.

I love the puffy sleeves and the oversized look!

I made her size 6 and added 1″ to the length of both bodice and sleeves.

Anita is also rocking her new hat, mittens and socks that my mom knitted for her.  My mom is one of those people who can knit with their eyes closed and get it perfect every time.  I asked her for a link to the pattern she used and then I only found the pattern for the socks.  Later I found out she just used that as a base for the hat as well and the mittens I guess, just magically appeared.  The pattern is called Merry & Warm by Drops Design and can be found here.

The fabric I used for the Vesper is called Poppyflower and its a beautiful organic jersey from Bloom Copenhagen.  Scandinavian knits are usually great quality and so lovely to work with.  This one is absolutely that!

Winter is not over in Norway so I will be making more warm clothes for a bit longer.  You too should go and grab your copy of The Vesper Sweater, cause its awesome and free!!

I'm a mom to four fantastic kids, three boys and a girl. To teenagers and to toddlers so never a dull moment in our household :) We are from Iceland but have been living in Norway since 2001. I have a newfound passion for sewing. My hubby travels a lot for work and I needed something to do at night when the little ones are a sleep because suddenly my teenage boys would rather hang with their friends or play on their pc's than be with me - why is beyond my imagination :) Thanks to Pinterest I found some amazing sewing bloggers, whom I've been stalking, and realized that I could dig out my sewing machine and start sewing. Now it's all I think about. I've been hoarding pdf patterns and learning from all the amazing tutorials that are out there. I've decided to try out this blogging thing as well to document my sewing journey. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for stopping by, I would love it if you would leave me a comment! XOXO Dagbjört
