You can imagine my excitement when my 18 year old agreed that I could sew him something and post it on the blog!! So let me introduce you to my very handsome young man!
I made him the Farfar Cardigan the newest pattern by Wardrobe by me. Yet another win from Christina and a great addition to the mens wear collection! Don’t mind the spots you see on his cardigan, it was pouring outside when we took photos and if we would wait for a day where it is not raining we would be waiting a long time.
The pattern lives up to Wardrobe by me standards being spot on and with great instructions. I made him size medium and the fit is great. I used the simple placket version, you can also do a shawl collar. I skipped the pockets as he likes side pockets better than patch pockets and he wanted more of a sporty look.
The fabric I used is french terry I bought from Stoffdronning. It is recommended to use medium weight knit fabric or fabric with some hand to it.
The pattern is on sale for one more week for $9.00 so grab your copy now and make your man a great cardigan, an idea for a Christmas present maybe.

Doesn’t it feel so good to have your teens wear your sewing? Great work on the cardigan! Your son looks great in it and happy too!

Very nice! Your bands (front, bottom, and sleeve) are neat and smooth. What’s your secret? (And, your new model is very handsome… But you knew that!)
