Wait what? Back already? And I’ll even be back again very soon!
I’ve gotten myself in a bit of a deadline pickle, but I’ll do my very best to meet them all cause I’m not about to let anybody down!
I don’t know what it is but Belgians seem to have some kind of sewing superpower, must be something in the water over there. They also seem to have access to the prettiest fabrics available, the kind the rest of us can only dream of. So you can imagine my excitement when I was asked to join in on an Instagram tour featuring The Vienna pattern by two Belgian designers @beletoile and @kaatjenaaisels
The Vienna has just been released in English, it is also available in Dutch here. To celebrate the launch of the English version KaatjeNaaisels is offering a 10% discount of the pattern. Make sure to make it to the end of this post to get the code.
The pattern includes three different sleeve options, two back options and pleated or gathered skirt. I love the rounded top of the skirt. I was going to add blue piping to that seam but totally forgot to and I just don’t rip out seams if I don’t have to so thats that.
I also think the straight flutter sleeves are awfully cute! I made size 6 and added the length of a size 7. It’s a bit roomy but we are heading into layering season here so that’s ok.
This is what I get when I ask: Anita, can you stand still and smile for just a second? Haha, not trying that again!
The fabric I used is Les Fleurs by Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co for Cotton+Steel, which I bought from Miss Matatabi. For the collar I used fabric from the Dottie collection from Cotton+Steel, I think I also bought that from Miss Matatabi some while ago.
And just like that we’ll leave you hanging for a little bit! But make sure you check out all the other Vienna dresses that will be popping up.
Oops almost forgot I promised you a discount code! Use INSTAPARTY when you check out your Vienna dress at KaatjeNaaisels.
Love
