The Geneva Tour!

The title might be a bit misleading.  I’m not on tour in Geneva although I wouldn’t mind at all!  What I mean is it’s time for The Geneva Cardigan Tour the new pattern by Coffee + Thread.  I’m sure it will be amazing so keep your eyes open for all the awesome cardigans that will be popping up over the next few days!  Read or at least scroll down to the bottom for a special code that will get you 15% off the pattern.

These two are very happy with the new additions to their wardrobe.  This is just what they needed this time of year and Anita was super happy to get to dress in something weather appropriate for once, haha!

Aren’t they cute!

I really love that this pattern is equally perfect for boys and girls.  I made the shirt collar for Viktor and the Peter Pan collar for Anita.  The only other difference in these two is that on Viktors there are buttons and buttonholes but Anitas has snaps.  After getting the hang of applying snaps I just might be adding them to everything!

The pockets are so lovely and I love the subtle contrast you get by choosing a different fabric for the pockets.  I also like how the pockets are sewn to the front and into the hem so you don’t have them flapping around in there and peaking down under the cardi when they put their hands in them.

For Anita I made size 5 but added the length of size 6 and it fits her great!

Viktor is in a size 8 and also perfect fit!

The fabric I used for these I got from a Norwegian fabric store called Stoffbutikken.

I actually won an Easter auction they were having and I received 10 meters of this in different colors so I can make a whole lot of Genevas, whoop whoop!

The Geneva Cardigan goes up to size 14, that makes it one of those classic staple patterns everybody should have in their collection.

Remember the code I talked about at the beginning of this post?

Just two more photos and you’ll find it, hehe!

I'm a mom to four fantastic kids, three boys and a girl. To teenagers and to toddlers so never a dull moment in our household :) We are from Iceland but have been living in Norway since 2001. I have a newfound passion for sewing. My hubby travels a lot for work and I needed something to do at night when the little ones are a sleep because suddenly my teenage boys would rather hang with their friends or play on their pc's than be with me - why is beyond my imagination :) Thanks to Pinterest I found some amazing sewing bloggers, whom I've been stalking, and realized that I could dig out my sewing machine and start sewing. Now it's all I think about. I've been hoarding pdf patterns and learning from all the amazing tutorials that are out there. I've decided to try out this blogging thing as well to document my sewing journey. We'll see how it goes! Thanks for stopping by, I would love it if you would leave me a comment! XOXO Dagbjört
