The Geneva Cardigan

Today my little rockstar is taking over this space in his brand new Geneva Cardigan!

I told him to do something cool and this automatically happened!  I guess he is way cooler than me cause I don’t get this dab thing (that’s what its called, right?), I really need to step up my game!!

He totally LOVES his Geneva!  This is the latest pattern from Coffee + Thread.  What makes this a winner for everybody is that its unisex, has 4 collar options, 2 sleeve options and comes in sizes from 12 months to 14 years.  It’s also quite fast to sew.

I made him a size 8 and the fit is perfect for him.  This was my first time using snaps and I just might be hooked, I don’t mind doing button holes but it’s sewing on the buttons I don’t like so much.  There was also another first for me with this one and that was…

I used an old hoody from one of my oldest ones to make this.  Finally my husband thought I was doing something smart with this sewing hobby of mine.  He doesn’t get that I hate mending worn out clothes and stuff like that, so this really made him excited.
