I love this girly pattern. It offers two kind of frills, small circular ones like the ones I made and long ones that run almost from waist and over the shoulders and down to the waist again. I did a gathered skirt but you can also do a full circle skirt for perfect twirling. I didn’t have enough of any cute fabric in my stash to do that one.
There are also two types of ties, the ones I made and then flared ties. You can choose to line the bodice or not. I prefer a lined bodice because of the cleaner finish on the inside.
It was freezing cold so I told her to goof around to try to stay a little warm. Its tough to be the kid of a sewing blogger. But hey what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, right?!
I made Anitas dress in size 5 widthwise and lengthened to a size 6. Fabric is Robert Kaufman, Hello Tokyo. I’ve had it for a while and can’t remember where I ordered it from. But I’m thinking from Miss Matatabi. She calls this dress her Pinky Pie dress because it looks like it has balloons like Pinky Pie, in case you also watch My Little Pony and are thinking the same thing.
The Polina Dress pattern is on sale for $7.00 until March 21st and you can find a code for an even extra 10% off in the Coffee+Thread Facebook group, so hurry up and join! That’s not all there is also a giveaway and here is a link to the rafflecopter, since I don’t know how to add it to my blogpost.
Summer please come soon!!!
