Elegance and Elephants just released a new girls pattern for a knit dress/top just in time for back to school. I got to be in her amazing team of testers. This pattern was just perfect from the start.
This is the first one I made. Size 5 and absolutely a perfect fit. Anita loves dresses and knit dresses are just perfect for preschool. Even though they might be simple enough I get tired of using the same pattern over and over again so it’s refreshing to have a new pattern in the mix.
The pattern includes a top, a simple A-line, a color-blocked A-line and a gathered skirt. No collar, peter pan collar and a pointed collar. Long sleeves, short sleeves and no sleeves. Something for everybody for sure. Here I made the color-blocked A-line with long sleeves and peter pan collar. The red fabric is something I have had in my stash forever and I can’t remember where I bought it from, the pink one is this one from a Norwegian store Kjekk og søt. Both were a delight to work with.
This one is the simpe A-line with the pointed collar. I just love this silhouette and it’s oh so fast to make. The fabric here is this one from Stoff og Stil. Also a delight to work with.
Anita chose all of the fabrics herself and she loves her new dresses. She has grown so much lately that I will have to make her a few more very soon. I know, it’s a luxury problem!
Hurry up and join the Elegance and Elephants Facebook group for a coupon code. There is no time to loose so hurry up and get your back to school sewing starting now!

I really love the dresses you made, both of them. And those unicorns are just great!
