Did you see my Frida shorts?
Well, now Wardrobe by me has released the slim fit flat front pants!
If you take your measurements and go by Christinas size chart you can’t go wrong. From making the Frida shorts I figured out that I needed a size 8 waist and the rest in size 10, so that’s how I cut out my fabric and bam I have a perfectly fitted pair of pants!
The pattern has a front fly zipper, slanted pockets, back darts, contoured waistband and two length options. I made the cropped version. The pattern is drafted for a person my height so I didn’t have to make adjustments regarding the length, but the pattern has instructions to lengthen or shortening the length.
I used stretch twill from Stoff og Stil. It wasn’t particularly fun to work with since it didn’t respond well to pressing and as you my fellow sewers know that’s a vital part of the sewing process. I’m really happy with the end result and that’s all that matters. I have some stretch denim in my stash destined for the full length version.
In case you were wondering, yes I made the shirt as well. It’s the Savannah Button Down another winner from Wardrobe by me. This one comes with two finishing options, like I did it with a rib collar and cuffs or you can bind the neckline and make classic cuffs with slit and pleats. You can chose from 3 lengths and sleeves or no sleeves. The beautiful fabric I used for the shirt is from Miss Matatabi, it’s a rayon linen blend and is oh so soft and delightful to wear. I’m sad to say it looks like it’s out of stock.
Now jump over to Wardrobe by me and get your pattern(s)! The slim fit pants are on sale for $8.00 until Friday, August 12th.
Love
