This is one of my projects I absolutely LOVE!
It’s just a sweater you might say, but let me tell you it’s so much more than just a sweater. It is the Semper Sweater from Sofilantjes!
I love all the details like the side panels and pockets and the how the hood is sewn on. You can play around with your fabric and totally make it your own style.
At first I was tempted to make this a fast sew and skip the hood but I know Viktor loves hoods so I didn’t and I’m so glad I went with the hood, it is awesome!
I made him a size 7 and it’s a bit roomy but that’s ok because I was not about to use my precious Nosh fabric that I’ve been hoarding forever on something that he will outgrow in no time. This fabric is so soft and fabulous and the colors are so vibrant. Because of the way I colorblocked this sweater I have enough left for something else, now I just have to find another pattern worthy of such great fabric.
He is starting 1st grade in the fall and I totally see me making him many more Semper Sweaters before that and as this pattern goes all the way up to size 14 maybe he’ll be wearing Semper Sweaters all through elementary school, who knows!
